How to Apply for Community Grants

The promise of Susan G. Komen® is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017, Komen East TN  has invested more than $9.7 million our local community programs. The Affiliate funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment projects for the medically underserved in 24 counties including the Knoxville and Tri-Cities surrounding communities. In addition to funding local outreach projects, Susan G. Komen® runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. Our Affiliate is proud to have contributed more than $3.4 toward research since 1997.

Applications will be accepted for breast cancer screening and patient assistance programs in our 16 county service area starting in the Fall for the fiscal year April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018. Projects that specifically address the objectives outlined in the “Funding Priorities” in the application will be given priority.
